2018 ICE OUT AND CHRONICLE OF GETTING CAMP READY.
APRIL 28
Well the snow has finally melted off the ice. We had some rain a few nights ago and some snow yesterday. So with the sun today the ice has melted about 2-4 feet away from the beach in front of camp.
Here is the first of several photos chronicaling the ice going off Nungesser lake in 2018.
Paul and Lester working on the deck for cabin 2. It is 42 wide x 16 feet deep.

PERFECT CONDITIONS FOR MELTING ICE - 20 C AND WINDY

Was cold and snowing yesterday and cool today. So ice not melting fast.
MAY 3. - COATINGOF ICE ON THE OPEN WATER AREAS IN THE MORNING.
WARM ABOUT 15 LIGHT WINDS
ON THE RIGHT YOU CAN SEE HOW MUCH SAND IN FILLING OUR PASSAGE TO NORTH BAY. NEED A BACKHOE TO DIG IT OUT.
HAYDEN PUT A MOTOR ON THE 20 FOOT LAKE WINNIPEG YAWL . I BOUGHT I A FEW YEARS AGO AND WE NEVER GOT A MOTOR ON IT. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING HOW IT HANDLES A HEAVY LOAD AND BIG WAVES. THE COMMERCIAL FISHERMAN ON LAKE WINNIPEG DESIGNED AND BUILD THEM FOR HUGE LAKE WINNIPEG.
